How do I Participate?

  1. Contact your local American Legion Auxiliary!
    -Not sure who that is? Check with your guidance counselor or Email egsregistrar@gmail.com with your hometown, County of residence and the name of your High School!
  2. Participate in a local selection process.
    -Process may include interviews, written essays, and/or nomination process
  3. Get the login information from the local ALA sponsoring Unit after you have been selected as a citizen or an alternate.
  4. Complete the online registration process and submit required paperwork with non-refundable application fee by the deadlines.
  5. Attend a virtual orientation via Zoom in May/June.
    -You will receive an email with additional details to the email address that you provided on the online registration form. It will also be posted on the ALA Empire Girls State website and Facebook page.
  6. Pack your bags and your enthusiasm! Get ready for an awesome and memorable week at ALA Empire Girls State.
